He doesn't actually think he's done anything wrong other than worry Makishima, and he's rather sure he's angry with him, but somehow he thinks that if he says anything further he might just make things worse and... well, they're bad enough already.
He doesn't know why it springs to mind, maybe because being here makes it like a comfortable option and not as odd as it'd be back home, maybe because he doesn't think his words are quite enough, but once they reach the bathroom Kinjou leans in and gives Makishima a brief kiss on the cheek.
