[Makishima tried to ignore the call and the first one went fine. The second almost went fine until it got to be too annoying and Makishima snatched it. Despite the thorough fucking his ass had received and the exhausted state he'd been left in he was still irrationally attracted to this man. It made no damn sense. ]

What do you want.

[At least his voice had the sense to sound appropriately annoyed.]

I'm sorry to bother you, Makishima, but could you please come to my apartment today when you have a chance? Thank you.

[ With a voicemail like that Makishima wasn't going to wait around! He rushed down to Kinjou's floor the moment he actually stopped to listen to the thing. Lucky for Kinjou he wasn't Toudou which meant Makishima was far more likely to answer and listen to the text in a timely manner without deleting it.

Within moments he was knocking on Kinjou's floor looking more than a little worried. He was still in his house clothes too. ]

[Makishima arrives in almost record time, and Kinjou hopes that he hasn't ended up making him worry. When he opens the door, he's standing there in a pair of sweat pants and no shirt.

Which means that the bite marks on his shoulders are very much visible. There's one on his left shoulder and two on his right. Kinjou is holding a small wet hand towel against the juncture of where his neck meets his right shoulder which means there might be a more serious injury there.

But he's not even paying attention to his worrisome state because he can't stop staring at Makishima's pants.]

[ Makishima had been getting very few texts from Kinjou, and most of them were ones that he'd initiated himself to ask if they were going to hang out as usual or otherwise. This was completely unexpected and it has Makishima's heart racing. Something was wrong. He knew it. ]

[ It was a bit after noon when the call finally comes. Bright and early there would have been a delivery to Makishima's apartment with all of Toudou's presents nicely wrapped. Within was one small one containing a ring with a note "It's a real spider in there", a bracelet, and an envelope containing a two goldbyte gift card to a high-end fashion store in Aglaea that looks just like the ones the winners of the modeling contest got. The envelope also contains a note reading

"Since you helped me win, I wanted to also share the winnings with you. I don't see myself buying anything from those stores, so this is for you. Go and have fun with it." ]

Ya-ho Maki-chan! Happy Birthday! I hope you got my presents and everyone is treating you well.

[ No explanation about the new number. No clues to the deep depression he was just in mere hours ago. Let's do this. ]

[ the name is completely foreign to Makishima. He almost doesn't answer, but considering this is a name of someone he doesn't know, he decides to be polite and instantly regrets it. ]

[Kinjou returns to the apartment with his substitute bicycle in tow, no jersey and instead a pair of simple athletic clothes. Ever since he'd returned from his sudden trip home he's had a hard time deciding if he should still be wearing his Sohoku jersey, what with having his Yonan jersey as well. Curiously enough, the Sohoku jersey feels a bit tighter on him now, but it's still wearable.

He sets his bicycle aside in the living room, the exact spot he always does, and the first thing he does is look around. For Makishima. He should probably wash up first, but ever since the video message Makishima shared on the public network over the palm readers and the subsequent conversation he had with Toudou, he hasn't been able to ignore the nagging feeling that he'd been left with. Even though he shouldn't worry, he's worrying.]

Makishima? [Kinjou calls out as he passes through the living room. He probably should have called again to let him know he'd almost arrived.]

[ Kinjou had taken longer to get home than Makishima had thought. He couldn't blame him. He knew he'd gone out for a ride and normally he would have gone too except he'd had something else he'd wanted to do.

He didn't want to wait too much longer for his boyfriend to get back, so he'd gone to take a long shower and bath in the hopes that he would be back in time to join him, but when that hadn't happened either he let out a sigh and was just deciding to get out of the tub when he heard Kinjou's arrival. ]

I'm in the bathroom, sho!

[ He called back to him, leaning back into the tub and waiting for Kinjou to show up in the doorway. ]
